BioMarine is a unique international forum that will bring together business, science, government, civil society and media to advance ocean sustainability. This international platform for dialogue will include a large number of interactive world-class conferences, debates and a business convention. The BioMarine 2008 Forum will be the major maritime event of the French Presidency of the European Union.
Several InterRidge Members are serving as speakers and panelists at the event. In particular, panelists for the session on "Abysses: The final frontier" include Daniel Desbruyères, Françoise Gaill, Catherine Mével, and Kiyoshi Suyehiro. Also, panelists for the session on "The brave new world of deep-sea mining and exploration" include Yves Fouquet, Peter Herzig, David Heydon, and Steve Scott.
